You can't change your username without getting a new account, but you can change your display name. Read on to learn how. 

1) Sign into Skype. More than likely, it is already on from when you booted up.

2) Click on Skype >> Profile >> Edit Your Profile

3) Click on where your name is beside your profile picture, if you have one.

4) Type in your new name.

5) Click on the small check mark and your name change will be complete.
