Vemma wins Stevie® Award in New York, NY

Vemma was honored with a Stevie Award for “Best Tradeshow or Convention” for the 2011 Power of Why Convention at this year’s 9th Annual American Business Awards. Winners were announced at a banquet held in New York City on June 20, 2011, among them such giants as Amazon, Apple, Cisco, Blue Cross and Overstock. Vemma was honored to be among many of the nation’s leading business professionals in attendance at this prestigious event, hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network.

Vemma was also honored as a Finalist in three other categories, including Executive of the Year – Health Products and Services, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Marketing Department of the Year.

The 2011 American Business Awards attracted a record number of entries. Almost 3,000 organizations of all types and sizes from across the United States participated in this year’s competition. These entries were reviewed by 80 professionals in preliminary judging, and their average scores determined the Finalists. Stevie Award winners were selected from among the Finalists by the members of 10 specialized final judging committees. In total, more than 200 professionals participated in the 2011 judging process.

“It’s really important to us to see our Brand Partners succeed, and to give them the kind of recognition and motivation you find at the annual Vemma Convention. Our Brand Partners are the heart of our business and what keeps us moving forward. They are the reason for our success. We’re honored to have been given this award, and it’s our goal to keep providing that level of quality year after year. Congratulations, team!” says Founder and CEO BK Boreyko.

About The Stevie

  • The name Stevie is taken from Stephen, which is derived from the Greek word for “crowned.”
  • The Stevie is approximately 16 inches tall, and is hand-cast and finished in 24-karat gold.
  • The crystal pyramid held aloft by Stevie represents the hierarchy of human needs — a system often represented as a pyramid — developed in the 1960s by psychologist Abraham Maslow, who observed that after their basic needs are met, human beings seek the esteem of their peers.

Vice President of Marketing and Brand Development Mark Patterson comments, “I’m really proud of our team for the work they did. We knew they did a great job and that it was a really outstanding event, and this just reconfirms it.”

Congratulations to BK Boreyko, Laurie Prondzinski, Brad Wayment, Mark Patterson and the entire Vemma Home Office staff for this phenomenal achievement — you’ve earned your place in the spotlight with your hard work, your creativity and your dedication to excellence! Thank you to Event Solutions Group and DB Productions, Inc., for helping make this event a success.

We couldn’t have produced such a successful event without our Brand Partners. Thank you for your enthusiasm and passion for the products and the business! We look forward to making next year’s event just as memorable and exciting!
